RATIFICATION OF A CONTRACT PURCHASE ORDER TO MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS INC. FOR ASTRO25 IV&D SECURE COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP TRAINING FOR THREE (3) TECHNICIANS (TOTAL AMOUNT: $11,925.00)

WHEREAS, the DuPage County Emergency Telephone System Board ("DU PAGE ETSB") is an emergency telephone system board, established pursuant to Section 15.4 of the Local Government Emergency Telephone System Act, 50 ILCS 750/15.4 ("Act"); and
WHEREAS, the DU PAGE ETSB is authorized and empowered, pursuant to Section 15.4 (b) of the Act to plan, implement, upgrade, and maintain an Emergency 9-1-1 System; and
WHEREAS, the DU PAGE ETSB is authorized by law and local ordinance to make disbursements from the 9-1-1 surcharge funds it receives pursuant to law for costs related to products and services necessary for the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of the emergency telephone system; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated in accordance with the DU PAGE ETSB by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the 9-1-1 System Coordinator recommends DU PAGE ETS Board approval of Procurement Purchase Order Requisition 924004/6838-1 to Motorola Solutions Inc. PO 924004/6838-1, for ASTRO25 IV&D Secure Communication Workshop training for three (3) technicians, for the dates of January 22-26, 2024, per 55 ILCS 5/5-1022(c) Competitive Bids not suitable for competitive bidding. The total amount of the contract is $11,925.00.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that DU PAGE ETSB Requisition 924004/6838-1, dated January 12, 2024, covering said, ratification of ASTRO25 IV&D workshop training, be, and is hereby approved by the DU PAGE ETSB to Motorola Solutions Inc, 2000 Progress Parkway, Schaumburg, IL 60196, for a total amount of $11,925.00.
