                     WHEREAS, the County of DuPage, through the DuPage County Department of Community Services, heretofore accepted and appropriated the Fifty-Second (52^nd) Year Community Development Block Grant PY26, Company 5000 - Accounting Unit 1440, based upon initial planning numbers, pursuant to Resolution FI-R-0061-26 for the period of April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027; and

                     WHEREAS, the County of DuPage, through the DuPage County Department of Community Services, has been notified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that the awarded grant amount is $59,221 (FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE and NO/100 DOLLARS) greater than the initial planning numbers; and

                     WHEREAS, no additional County funds are required to receive this funding; and

WHEREAS, to utilize the fully awarded funding amount requires increasing the appropriation for the Fifty-Second (52^nd) Year Community Development Block Grant PY26, Company 5000 - Accounting Unit 1440.

WHEREAS, the DuPage County Board finds that the need to appropriate said funds creates an emergency within the meaning of the Counties Act, Budget Division, (55 ILCS 5/6-1003).

                     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the DuPage County Board that the appropriation relating to the Fifty-Second (52^nd) Year Community Development Block Grant PY26, Company 5000 - Accounting Unit 1440, be increased by $59,221 (FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE and NO/100 DOLLARS) as reflected on the attached budget sheet (ATTACHMENT I), and the program shall continue as originally approved in all other respects.
