WHEREAS, the DuPage County Emergency Telephone System Board (“DU PAGE ETSB”) is an emergency telephone system board, established pursuant to Section 15.4 of the Local Government Emergency Telephone System Act, 50 ILCS 750/15.4 (“Act”); and
WHEREAS, the DU PAGE ETSB is authorized and empowered, pursuant to Section 15.4 (b) of the Act to plan, implement, upgrade, and maintain an Emergency 9-1-1 System for citizens of the County of DuPage and portions of Cook, Kane and Will counties; and
WHEREAS, the DU PAGE ETSB is authorized by law and local ordinance to make disbursements from the 9-1-1 surcharge funds it receives pursuant to law for costs related to products and services necessary for the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of the emergency telephone system; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated in accordance with the DU PAGE ETSB by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the 9-1-1 System Manager recommends DU PAGE ETS Board approval of Procurement Purchase Order Requisition 925029 to ABeep, LLC to provide 594 Tait 9900 mobile radio units to the Agencies to replace end of life and end of support equipment used on the DuPage Emergency Dispatch Interoperable Radio System on STARCOM21. The purchase amount is $3,909,700.04.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that DU PAGE ETSB Requisition 925029, dated September 29, 2025, covering said, 594 mobile radios and support, be, and is hereby approved by the DU PAGE ETSB to ABeep, LLC, 3900 Rock Creek Boulevard, Unit 2, Joliet, IL 60431, for a total amount of $3,909,700.04.
