FROM $95,000 TO $117,727 (AN INCREASE OF $22,727)

WHEREAS, the County of DuPage heretofore accepted and appropriated the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (IL DCEO) Apprenticeship Expansion Grant PY25, Inter-Governmental Agreement No. 25-112006, Company 5000 - Accounting Unit 2840, based upon initial planning numbers, pursuant to Resolution FI-R-0145-25 for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the County of DuPage has been notified by the IL DCEO, that the awarded grant amount is $22,727 (TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN AND NO/100 DOLLARS) greater than initial planning numbers; and
WHEREAS, no additional County funds are required to receive this funding; and
WHEREAS, to utilize the fully awarded funding amount requires increasing the appropriation for the Apprenticeship Expansion Grant PY25, Inter-Governmental Agreement No. 25-112006, Company 5000 - Accounting Unit 2840.
WHEREAS the DuPage County Board finds that the need to appropriate said funds creates an emergency within the meaning of the Counties Act, Budget Division, (55 ILCS 5/6-1003).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the DuPage County Board that the appropriation relating to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Apprenticeship Expansion Grant PY25, Company 5000 - Accounting Unit 2840, be increased by $22,727 (TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN AND NO/100 DOLLARS) as reflected on the attached budget sheet (ATTACHMENT I) and the program shall continue as originally approved in all other respects.
