AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF DUPAGE, ILLINOIS AND
V3 COMPANIES, LTD. FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
DESIGN OF GRANT FUNDED CAPITAL PROJECTS COUNTYWIDE
resolution
WHEREAS, the Illinois General Assembly has granted the County of DuPage ("COUNTY") authority to develop watershed plans, undertake measures to control and protect against flooding, manage stormwater and to enter into agreements for the purposes of stormwater management and flood control (Illinois Compiled Statutes, Chapter 55, paragraphs 5/5-1062.3 and 5/5-15001 et seq.); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said authority, the COUNTY periodically undertakes stormwater management, drainage and flood control activities; and
WHEREAS, the COUNTY’S flood control facilities require inspection, maintenance, and long-term planning to ensure they are operating and functioning as intended; and
WHEREAS, the COUNTY requires various professional services (surveying, wetland analysis, flood plain modeling, drainage analysis and evaluation, engineering plans and specifications, etc.), on an on-call basis, as necessary to assist with the design and permitting of capital projects countywide, and
WHEREAS, the CONSULTANT has experience and expertise providing each of the professional services required by the County and is willing to perform the required services, as needed, for an amount not to exceed ninety-five thousand dollars and no cents ($95,000.00).
WHEREAS, the CONSULTANT acknowledges that it is qualified to perform the services covered by this AGREEMENT and is in good standing and has not been barred from performing professional services; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the DuPage County Board that the attached AGREEMENT between the COUNTY and V3 Companies Ltd., is hereby accepted and approved in an amount not to exceed ninety five thousand dollars and zero cents ($95,000.00) and that the Chair of the DuPage County Board is hereby authorized and directed to execute the AGREEMENT on behalf of the COUNTY.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the DuPage County Clerk be directed to transmit certified copies of this Resolution and the attached AGREEMENT to V3 Companies, Ltd., 7325 Janes Avenue, Woodridge, IL 60517; Nicholas Alfonso/State's Attorney’s Office; County Auditor; Finance Director; Treasurer; Purchasing; and to the DuPage County Stormwater Management Department, by and through the Stormwater Management Department.
