AWARDING RESOLUTION
TO BUILDERS PAVING, LLC.
2026 ROADWAY RESURFACING (SOUTH) PROGRAM
SECTION 26-00331-00-RS
(COUNTY COST: $5,788,200.00)

WHEREAS, the County of DuPage is authorized and empowered to construct, repair, improve and maintain County and/or township roads, bridges, and appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, the County of DuPage has published a contract proposal for the 2026 Roadway Resurfacing (South) Program, Section 26-00331-00-RS, setting forth the terms, conditions, and specifications (a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference); and
WHEREAS, the budget for the 2026 fiscal year provides for the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, the following bids were received in compliance with the contract proposal:

Builders Paving, LLC. $5,788,200.00
K-Five Construction Corporation $5,868,959.42
R W Dunteman Company $6,329,850.00
; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the County of DuPage to award a contract to Builders Paving, LLC. for their submission of the lowest responsible bid in the amount of $5,788,200.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a contract in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in said contract proposal be, and is hereby awarded to Builders Paving, LLC., 4401 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 for their bid of $5,788,200.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this contract is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), and as such, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all laborers, workers, or mechanics performing work under this contract; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk transmit a copy of this Resolution and the accompanying Illinois Department of Transportation BLR form appropriating the necessary motor fuel tax funds to pay for the improvement to the State of Illinois Department of Transportation, by and through the Division of Transportation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairman and Clerk of the DuPage County Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute the aforesaid contract with R.W. Dunteman Company.
