AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF DU PAGE, ILLINOIS
AND CHRISTOPHER B. BURKE ENGINEERING, LTD. FOR
PROFESSIONAL PHASE I ENGINEERING SERVICES
FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODERNIZATION & FLASHING YELLOW
ARROW IMPLEMENTATION AT CH 38/63RD STREET
FROM BELMONT ROAD TO WILLIAMS STREET
SECTION 26-00288-06-SP
(CONTRACT TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED $268,216.00)

WHEREAS, the County of DuPage (hereinafter "COUNTY") by virtue of its power set forth in "Counties Code" (55 ILCS 5/5-1001 et. seq.) and "Illinois Highway Code" (605 ILCS 5/5-101 et. seq.) is authorized to enter into this agreement; and
WHEREAS, the COUNTY requires Professional Preliminary (Phase I) Engineering Services for the implementation of a flashing yellow arrow corridor along CH 38/63rd Street, from Belmont Road to Williams Street, Section 26-00288-06-SP; and
WHEREAS, Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (hereinafter "CONSULTANT") has experience and expertise in this area and is in the business of providing such professional preliminary (phase I) engineering services, and is willing to perform the required services for an amount not to exceed $268,216.00; and
WHEREAS, the COUNTY has selected the CONSULTANT in accordance with the Professional Services Selection Process found in Section 2-353(1)(a) of the DuPage County Procurement Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Transportation Committee has reviewed and recommends approval of the attached Agreement at the specified amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the DuPage County Board that the attached Agreement between the County of DuPage and Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. be hereby accepted and approved for a contract total not to exceed $268,216.00 and that the Chair of the DuPage County Board is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Agreement on behalf of the COUNTY; and


BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an original copy of this Resolution and Agreement be transmitted to Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd., 9575 West H...
