TO K-FIVE CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION
2026 ROADWAY RESURFACING (NORTH) PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the County of DuPage is authorized and empowered to construct, repair, improve and maintain County and/or township roads, bridges, and appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, the County of DuPage has published a contract proposal for the 2026 Roadway Resurfacing (North) Program, Section 26-00330-00-RS, setting forth the terms, conditions, and specification (a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference); and
WHEREAS, the budget for the 2026 fiscal year provides for the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, the following bids were received in compliance with the contract proposal:

RW Dunteman Company $4,942,711.00
Plote Construction, Inc. $4,991,452.98
Builders Paving, LLC $5,248,797.57; and

WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the County of DuPage to award a contract to K-Five Construction Corporation for their submission of the lowest responsible bid in the amount of $4,918,991.26.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a contract in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in said contract proposal be, and is hereby awarded to K-Five Construction Corporation, 999 Oakmont Plaza Drive, Suite 200, Westmont, Illinois 60559; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this contract is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), and as such, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all laborers, workers, or mechanics performing work under this contract; and
