AWARDING RESOLUTION TO MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS INC. PO 926027 TO DEVELOP
AN ENCRYPTION DEPLOYMENT PLAN FOR THE DUPAGE EMERGENCY DISPATCH
INTEROPERABLE RADIO SYSTEM (DEDIR SYSTEM)

WHEREAS, the DuPage County Emergency Telephone System Board (“DU PAGE ETSB”) is an emergency telephone system board, established pursuant to Section 15.4 of the Local Government Emergency Telephone System Act, 50 ILCS 750/15.4 (“Act”); and
WHEREAS, the DU PAGE ETSB is authorized and empowered, pursuant to Section 15.4 (b) of the Act to plan, implement, upgrade, and maintain an Emergency 9-1-1 System for citizens of the County of DuPage and portions of Cook, Kane and Will counties; and
WHEREAS, the DU PAGE ETSB is authorized by law and local ordinance to make disbursements from the 9-1-1 surcharge funds it receives pursuant to law for costs related to products and services necessary for the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of the emergency telephone system; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated in accordance with the DU PAGE ETSB by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the 9-1-1 System Manager recommends DU PAGE ETS Board approval of Purchase Order 926027 to Motorola Solutions Inc. to develop an encryption deployment plan for the DuPage Emergency Dispatch Interoperable Radio System (DEDIR System). The total amount of the request is $200,836.99.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that DU PAGE ETSB Requisition 926027, dated May 6, 2024, covering said, development of an encryption plan, be, and it is hereby approved by the DU PAGE ETSB to Motorola Solutions, Inc., 2000 Progress Parkway, Schaumburg, IL 60196, for an amount of $200,836.99.
