WHEREAS, pursuant to the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/3-2.5), the salary from the State of Illinois for the position of First Assistant Superintendent shall equal 90% of the Regional Superintendent's State salary; and

WHEREAS, in 2025, the total compensation of the Regional Superintendent was $171,111, with $137,200 received from the State of Illinois and $33,911 received from the County pursuant to Ordinance FI-O-0025-22; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to FI-O-0001-26, the DuPage County Board set the County's portion of the Regional Superintendent's salary for FY2027 at $17,190, setting the total salary for the Regional Superintendent at $154,390; and

WHEREAS, in 2025, the total compensation of the First Assistant Regional Superintendent was $138,060, with $123,500 received from the State of Illinois, and $14,560 received from the County; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/3-2.5), the County Board may provide for additional compensation for the assistant regional superintendent, to be paid quarterly from the county treasurer; and

WHEREAS, in 2005, under Resolution #FI-0099-05, the additional compensation for the First Assistant Regional Superintendent's salary was increased to $12,500 annually; and

WHEREAS, the current additional compensation paid by the County for the First Assistant Superintendent is $14,560, for a total annual salary of $138,060; and

WHEREAS, the scope of the First Assistant Superintendent position has expanded to include additional responsibilities such as oversight of the Center for Professional Learning, additional CPL staff, Licensure Team functions, supervision for the Center for S...
