ANNUAL FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
TO THE DUPAGE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
FOR OPERATIONAL SUPPORT AND LEADERSHIP FOR DCSS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026

WHEREAS, in 2023, the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) agreed to provide ongoing operational support and leadership for the DuPage Council on Strengthening the System for Mental Health and Substance Use Care (DCSS); and
WHEREAS, the DuPage County Board provides an annual financial commitment for DCHD's operational and leadership support of DCSS; and
WHEREAS, in exchange for this annual financial commitment, the responsibilities of the DCHD and the DCSS include the following: DCHD and the County Board Office will identify potential areas for funding based on the current DCSS priorities; DCSS may identify a specific project or vendor to fund; DCHD will procure items or enter into a contract with any specified vendors; DCHD will be responsible for payment of all claims on a timely basis; and DCHD will be responsible to report annually, no later than December 15, 2026, to the County Board Chair and the DuPage County Board on all expenditures connected to the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the DCHD has personnel trained in mental health and substance use care who can provide the above-referenced services; and
WHEREAS, in its Fiscal Year 2026 Budget, DuPage County has identified $300,000 (THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO/100) DOLLARS in the General Fund - Company 1000, Accounting Unit 1001, Account 53831 for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the DuPage County Board supports the annual financial commitment to the DuPage County Health Department in the amount up to, but not to exceed, $300,000 (THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO/100) DOLLARS in one or more payments; and
