AUTHORIZATION TO TRANSFER AND
APPROPRIATE AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $400,000 IN ADDITIONAL FUNDS
FROM THE PRMS EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND
TO THE PRMS OPERATIONS FUND
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026
resolution
WHEREAS, for accounting purposes the DuPage County Board has established the PRMS Operations Fund created in the County treasury to pay the costs associated with the operation of the System as provided in Section 2.04 of the Intergovernmental Agreement; and
WHEREAS, for accounting purposes the DuPage County Board has established the PRMS System Replacement Fund created in the County treasury to be used to pay the costs associated with the eventual replacement of the System as provided in Section 2.05 of the Intergovernmental Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the County of DuPage finds it necessary to transfer an amount not to exceed, $400,000.00 (FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS) from the PRMS EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND – COMPANY 4300, ACCOUNTING UNIT 5862 to the PRMS OPERATIONS FUND – COMPANY 4300, ACCOUNTING UNIT 5861; and
WHEREAS, the County of DuPage finds it necessary to grant authority to the Chief Financial Officer, to transfer said amount in one or more transfers as operating requirements dictate; and
WHEREAS, the said transfer(s) may be relative to the period of December 1, 2025 to November 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the PRMS EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND – COMPANY 4300, ACCOUNTING UNIT 5862 to accommodate said transfer(s) up to, but not to exceed $400,000.00 (FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS) for the aforementioned time period; and
WHEREAS, the need to provide an additional appropriation in the amount of $400,000.00 (FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS) in the PRMS OPERATIONS FUND – COMPANY 4300, ACCOUNTING UNIT 5861 creates an emergency within the meaning of the Counties Act, Budget Division, (55 ILCS 5/6-1003).
