AWARDING RESOLUTION ISSUED TO
EZ WAY, INCORPORATED
TO PROVIDE LIFTS WITH STANDS, SMART STANDS WITH SCALES, BATTERIES, SLINGS AND HARNESSES
FOR THE DUPAGE CARE CENTER
(CONTRACT TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED $65,566.47)

WHEREAS, a sole source quotation has been obtained in accordance with 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 and County Board policy; and
WHEREAS, the County is authorized to enter into a Sole Source Agreement pursuant to Section 2-350 of the DuPage County Procurement Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, based upon supporting documentation provided by the using Department, the Chief Procurement Officer has determined that it is not feasible to secure bids or that there is only one source for the required goods or services, and/or has determined that it is in the best interests of the County to consider only one supplier who has previous expertise relative to the subject procurement; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Chief Procurement Officer's determination, the Human Services Committee recommends County Board approval for the issuance of a contract to EZ Way, Inc., to provide lifts with stands, smart stands with scales, batteries, slings and harnesses, for the period of July 15, 2026 through November 30, 2026 , for the DuPage Care Center .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that County Contract, covering said, to provide lifts with stands, smart stands with scales, batteries, slings and harnesses, for the period of July 15, 2026 through November 30, 2026 for the DuPage Care Center, be, and it is hereby approved for issuance of a contract by the Procurement Division to, EZ Way, Inc., 807 E Main Post Office Box 89, Clarinda, Iowa 51632, for a contract total amount not to exceed $ 65,566.47. Pursuant to 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 (c) not suitable for competitive bids. (Sole provider of items that are compatible with our existing equipment.)
