REDUCTION IN APPROPRIATION FOR THE THIRTY-FIFTH (35th) YEAR
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS GRANT PY26
COMPANY 5000 - ACCOUNTING UNIT 1450
FROM $1,722,324 TO $1,681,900 (A REDUCTION OF $40,424)
(Under the administrative direction of the Community Services Department)

WHEREAS, the County of DuPage, through the DuPage County Department of Community Services, heretofore accepted and appropriated the Thirty-Fifth (35th) Year HOME Investment Partnerships Program Grant PY26, Company 5000 - Accounting Unit 1450, based upon initial planning numbers, pursuant to Resolution FI-R-0062-26 for the period of April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027; and
WHEREAS, the County of DuPage, through the DuPage County Department of Community Services, has been notified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that the awarded grant amount is $40,424.52 (FORTY THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR AND 52/100 DOLLARS) less than the initial planning numbers, requiring an reduction to the appropriated amount of the Thirty-Fifth (35th) Year Home Investment Partnerships Grant PY26, Company 5000 - Accounting Unit 1450; and
WHEREAS, no additional County funds are required to receive the amended funding; and
WHEREAS, the DuPage County Board finds that the need to reduce said appropriated funding creates an emergency within the meaning of the Counties Act, Budget Division, (55 ILCS 5/6-1003).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the DuPage County Board that the reduction in appropriation on the attached sheet (ATTACHMENT I) in the amount of $40,424 (FORTY THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR AND NO/100 DOLLARS) be made and that the total appropriation for the Thirty-Fifth (35th) Year Home Investment Partnerships Grant PY26, Company 5000 - Accounting Unit 1450, be reduced accordingly, and the program shall continue as originally approved in all other respects.
