OLD BUSINESS
Member Zay noted that the Bartlett Police Department was late on submitting paperwork under
the Member Initiative Program. The police department already purchased and installed the
$7,000 worth of equipment. By a show of hands, Committee members gave their consensus to
reimburse the $7,000 to the police department using FY2026 contingency funds. Member
Childress introduced the concept of a memorial for victims of gun violence. The memorial would
cost approximately $40,000 and would be completed by June for National Gun Violence
Awareness Month. By a show of hands, Committee members gave their consensus to put this
item on the agenda in two weeks. Nick Kottmeyer, Chief Administrative Officer, provided an
update to funding amounts for various State grants. Member DeSart asked a few clarification
questions regarding the generator work being done at the Care Center.
