CALL TO ORDER  
Meeting called to order by Chairman Reyes at 8:31 a.m.

ROLL CALL  
Upon roll call, Chairman Reyes and Commissioner Gravina were present.  
Chairman Reyes called for a motion to allow Commissioner Kachiroubas to participate remotely.  
Roll call vote: all ayes. Commissioner Kachiroubas joined via Zoom.  
Staff members in attendance: Paul Bruckner (Assistant State's Attorney), Chief Garcia (Sheriff's  
Office), Debbie Krygowski (Merit Commission Assistant)

No public comment was offered.  
OLD BUSINESS  
a.  
Candidate Status  
Discussion on the current status of candidates in the testing and certification process, as well as  
final statistics for 2024.

NEW BUSINESS  
a.  
Candidate Questions  
Ms. Krygowski inquired whether candidate 1 should be withdrawn from the application process.  
This candidate had rescheduled a psychological evaluation three times and was a no-show the  
last time. The Commission agreed that this candidate should be withdrawn from the process.  
Ms. Krygowski also confirmed that candidates who do not respond to the background  
investigators will be withdrawn from the application process.

MC Meeting Schedule  
The Commission reviewed the 2025 meeting schedule and agreed to reschedule the August 7th  
meeting to August 14th.

REPORT FROM SHERIFF'S OFFICE  
No report was offered. Chairman Reyes noted that the background investigators are very  
thorough and are providing a great depth of information for the Commission.  
EXECUTIVE SESSION  
Commissioner Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded the motion to enter into  
Executive Session. Roll call vote: all ayes.  
Chief Garcia and Paul Bruckner left the room.

Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act for the appointment,  
compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of a specific employee, one-on-one  
interviews.  
The Commission entered into Executive Session at 8:45 a.m.  
The Commission returned to Open Session at 10:09 a.m.

MATTERS TO BE REFERRED FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION (IF ANY)  
a.  
Action on the certification of candidates subject to one-on-one interviews on January 23,  
2025.  
Commissioner Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded the motion to certify  
Lateral Transfer to Law Enforcement candidate 2234. Roll call vote: all ayes.  
Commissioner Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded the motion to certify  
Lateral Transfer to Corrections candidate 2235. Roll call vote: all ayes.  
Commissioner Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded the motion to certify  
Corrections candidate 2825.  
Candidates 2714 and 2715/2825 were not certified.

Commissioner Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded the motion to adjourn.  
Voice vote: all ayes.
