CHAIR'S REMARKS - CHAIR DESART
Chair DeSart thanked Lobbyist Chip Humes for coming and asked him to share the wins for
DuPage County in Springfield this session.
DISCUSSION
6.A. Overview of the Spring Legislative Session - Chip Humes - Marquardt & Humes
Chip Humes started by congratulating Kate on a great job on her first session. He commented
this was a weird session especially with the inconsistent scheduling with limited time having
both chambers in session at the same time.
Chip shared the reappropriation of our capital projects was a win for DuPage County . Mr.
Humes also addressed HB4571, the NITA Act, HB4456, what to expect in the fall veto session,
the 911 surcharge and the Bears stadium.
