CALL TO ORDER  
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Reyes at 8:33 a.m.

ROLL CALL  
Upon roll call, Chairman Reyes and Commissioner Gravina were present.  
Chairman Reyes called for a motion to allow Commissioner Kachiroubas to participate remotely.  
Commissioner Gravina moved and Chairman Reyes seconded the motion. Roll call vote: all  
ayes.  
Staff members in attendance: Paul Bruckner (State's Attorney's Office), Chief Toerpe (Sheriff's  
Office), Lindsey Stern (Sheriff's Office), Debbie Krygowski (Merit Commission Assistant)

REPORT FROM SHERIFF'S OFFICE  
Chief Toerpe is continuing to work with Counsel Bruckner on rules for out-of-state lateral  
transfers.

EXECUTIVE SESSION  
Commissioner Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded a motion to enter into  
Executive Session. Roll call vote: all ayes.  
Chief Toerpe and Ms. Stern left the room.

Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21) of the Open Meetings Act for discussion of minutes  
lawfully closed under this Act, whether for the purpose of approval by the body of the  
minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by section 2.06.  
Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act for the appointment,  
employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of a specific employee,  
one-on-one interviews.  
The Commission entered into Executive Session at 8:36 a.m.  
Paul Bruckner left the room at 8:39 a.m.  
The Commission returned to Open Session at 9:45 a.m.

MATTERS TO BE REFERRED FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION (IF ANY)

Action on approval and/or release of minutes which were reviewed subject to a  
semi-annual review of minutes on March 16, 2023.  
Chairman Reyes called for a motion to release Executive Session meeting minutes from  
10/6/2022; 10/13/2022; 10/20/2022; 11/3/2022; 11/17/2022; 12/1/2022; 12/15/2022 (8:32 a.m.);  
12/15/2022 (8:46 a.m.); 1/5/2023; 1/19/2023 (8:06 a.m.); 1/19/2023 (8:40 a.m.); 2/2/2023; and  
2/16/2023. Commissioner Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded the motion  
to release these Executive Session meeting minutes. Roll call vote: all ayes.  
Executive Session meeting minutes from 4/6/2009; 4/29/2009; 10/4/2012; 3/7/2013; 3/2/2017;  
4/6/2017 continue to be held.  
b.  
Action on the certification of candidates subject to one-on-one interviews on March 16,  
2023.  
Commissioner Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded a motion to certify  
LEB Lateral candidates 2089 and 2090. Roll call vote: all ayes. Motion carried.  
Commissioner Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded a motion to certify  
Corrections candidates 2413 and 2414. Roll call vote: all ayes. Motion carried.
