Ms. Krygowski presented the current status of candidates in the testing process and vacancies
among sworn deputies. Discussion. Sheriff Mendrick added that the Sheriff's Office is
expecting a large number of retirements within the Administrative Bureau in early 2024.

Certification of LEB Written Promotional Exam Results

Ms. Krygowski presented the scores from the written promotional exams for Sergeant and
Lieutenant in the Law Enforcement Bureau, given on February 25, 2023. Commissioner
Kachiroubas moved and Commissioner Gravina seconded the motion to certify the scores from
the written promotional exams for Sergeant and Lieutenant in the Law Enforcement Bureau.
Roll call vote: all ayes. Ms. Krygowski will notify the Sheriff's Office that the deputies who
passed are eligible to complete the in-person assessment portion of the promotional exam.

REPORT FROM SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Sheriff Mendrick informed the Commission that the Sheriff's Office will no longer offer the
Corrections Agility Test for candidates prior to hire. Sheriff Mendrick is grateful for the
Commission's efforts and is also exploring the possibility of expanding the Merit Commission to
five members.
