Meeting called to order at 8:38 a.m. by Chairman Reyes.

Upon roll call, Chairman Reyes and Commissioner Gravina were present.

Commissioner Gravina moved and Chairman Reyes seconded the motion to approve Regular

Commissioner Gravina moved and Chairman Reyes seconded the motion to approve the 4/4/24

Ms. Krygowski presented the current status in the testing and certification process.

Revised 2024 Meeting Schedule  
Review of the revised meeting schedule. A conflict with the June 6th meeting was identified;  
Ms. Krygowski will confirm whether June 13th is a good alternate date.

NEW BUSINESS  
a.  
Budget Transfer of $60.00 from "Operating Supplies & Materials" to "Furniture,  
Machinery & Equipment Small Value"  
Commissioner Gravina moved and Chairman Reyes seconded the motion to approve the budget  
transfer of $60.00 from "Operating Supplies & Materials" to "Furniture, Machinery & Equipment  
Small Value". Roll call vote: all ayes.

Ms. Krygowski asked whether an LEB applicant who submitted high school records from Russia  
but had also submitted transcripts from College of DuPage and Lewis University was eligible.  
The Commission agreed that this candidate is eligible.

REPORT FROM SHERIFF'S OFFICE  
Discussion regarding happenings in the jail, retirements within the Sheriff's Office and an  
additional background investigator.  
EXECUTIVE SESSION  
Commissioner Gravina moved and Chairman Reyes seconded the motion to enter into Executive  
Session. Roll call vote: all ayes.  
Paul Bruckner, Chief Garcia, Chief Papa, and Lindsey Stern left the room.  
a.  
Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act for the appointment,  
compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of a specific employee, one-on-one  
interviews.  
The Commission entered into Executive Session at 8:53 a.m.  
The Commission returned to Open Session at 9:36 a.m.

MATTERS TO BE REFERRED FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION (IF ANY)

Action on the certification of candidates subject to one-on-one interviews on April 4,  
2024  
Chairman Reyes called for a motion to certify Lateral Transfer to Law Enforcement candidate  
2201. Commissioner Gravina moved and Chairman Reyes seconded the motion. Roll call vote:  
all ayes.  
Chairman Reyes called for a motion to certify Corrections candidates 2620 and 2621.  
Commissioner Gravina moved and Chairman Reyes seconded the motion. Roll call vote: all  
ayes.  
Candidate 2141 was tabled.  
Candidate 2619 was not present to interview.
