Chair Haider welcomed all those in attendance for today's environmental committee and  
highlighted the successful events board members and County staff attended during Earth month.  
PUBLIC COMMENT  
Kay Mckeen, Executive Director of SCARCE shared an update on the recycling and green events  
SCARCE has attended and the events they have coming up in the future.

Oxide Emissions Standards for Sterilization Facilities Residual Risk and Technology  
Review Rule  
County Board member Kari Galassi commented on the importance of this resolution and  
thanked the committee for bringing this forward. In response, Chair Haider thanks  
member Galassi and Vice Chair Evans added that it is important that this committee keep  
paying attention to items like this.

Advancing Environmental initiatives Through Volunteerism and the Green Business  
Chamber - Kris Murphy  
Kristina Murphy - Founder, Acting Director, and Board Member of the Chicagoland  
Green Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) presented on the Climate Reality Project, the  
Chicagoland Green Chamber of Commerce, how alignment with CGCC has benefits for  
DuPage County Environmental Initiatives, and membership with the CGCC. Member  
LaPlante thanked Kris for her presentation and expressed interest in the County  
partnering with the work that CGCC does. Vice Chair Evans invited members of the  
board to approach her about getting connected with CGCC.

15th & 16th  
Joy Hinz - Environmental & Sustainability Programs Manager updated the board about  
the Environmental Division's upcoming Native Tree, Shrub, and Compost giveaway at  
the DuPage County Forest Preserve District's Native Plant Sale in honor of International  
Compost Awareness Week.
