Amendment to purchase order 7399-0001-SERV, issued to Imaging Systems, Inc. d/b/a
Integrated Document Technologies (IDT), for the annual Hyland and CAPSYS Software
Assurance maintenance of imaging systems for Supervisor of Assessments, Treasurer,
Family Center, Coroner, and County Clerk, paid for by Information Technology, to
increase the contract in the amount in the amount of $28,000, resulting in an amended
contract total amount not to exceed $355,930.81.
Member Cronin-Cahill requested more information on this item. Laura Flamion
explained that the department uses IDT for scanning and indexing fields of rabies
certificates. A new process is being established to upload documents to a secure email
box that IDT will access to then store in OnBase and index searchable fields. This new
process is expected to increase the annual expenditure with IDT. Laura explained that
other departments use IDT as well and Animal Services is getting added to the existing
contract.

ADMINISTRATIVE UPDATE
Laura Flamion shared that the shelter is caring for just over 100 animals, with the majority being
cats. As the weather warms and daylight hours increase, the department expects to field more
calls from residents asking what to do about cats they see outside. The department is hosting an
Outdoor Cat Workshop that is free to the public this Sunday, February 22nd, 2026 at 1:30pm.
Laura also shared that on March 1, 2025, the department will be hosting Steve Dale of WGN and
author of the book “Ask the Dog”. This is a ticketed event with proceeds helping the shelter
animals. The book is about giving dogs agency to choose if they want to interact with other
people and animals, in addition to watching body language to prevent dog bites. This topic is
important since the Animal Services department oversees rabies and animal bite compliance.
