CALL TO ORDER
1:00 PM meeting was called to order by Chair Michael Childress at 1:00 PM.
Chair Michael Childress appointed Member Lucy Chang Evans to the Public Works Committee
for quorum purposes.
A motion was made by Member Paula Garcia and seconded by Member Mary Ozog to allow for
remote participation. Upon a voice vote, the motion passed.

CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS - CHAIR CHILDRESS
Chair Childress stated that the public participation and input is crucial to the success of the
project. Chair Childress was appreciative for the turn out and emphasized the importance of the
project to the County and its residents.

PUBLIC COMMENT
Phillip Buchanan, B.J. Slinger, Georgine Panko, and Michelle Podkowa provided public
comment about the status of the Heritage Gallery.
PRESENTATION
5.A. Taylor Studios - Heritage Gallery Presentation and Focus Group
Morgan Perkins, Emma Brutman, Katie Khau, and Pete Salmon from Taylor Studios provided an
in-depth presentation on the schematic design of the Heritage Gallery Replacement Project.
Morgan Perkins kicked off the presentation with a brief review of the project and provided some
goals for the presentation and focus group. Pete Salmon followed by reviewing the timeline for
the project and what the schematic design process looks like. Emma Brutman then reviewed the
exhibit design concepts of the space with Katie Khau presenting the graphic approach.
Pete Salmon was welcomed back up to go through the content that was being researched and the
historical aspects of DuPage County. Member Ozog, Member Garcia, Member Evans, Member
Zay, Member Yoo, Member Haider, and Chair Childress asked questions and provided
comments on the presentation and content. Chair Childress then called upon members of the
public to provide any comments about the presentation and its content.
