Chair Saba Haider opened the committee meeting sharing kudos to the County environmental
staff for their hard work during their native plant and compost giveaway this past May.

bioMérieux - Sustainability Accomplishments
Anna Epstein, bioMérieux HSE Manager, presented on the background, international
presence, and the purpose of the bioMérieux Lombard site. Anna shared on bioMérieux's
numerous projects dedicated to reductions in water, waste, and CO2 in bioMérieux's
business operations. Lastly, Anna covered bioMérieux's culture of sustainability and their
partnerships within their local community. Chair Haider shared that they are inspired by
bioMérieux's work and hope other businesses in DuPage County follow their example.
