CHAIR'S REMARKS - CHAIR DESART  
Chair Dawn DeSart stated that she was here to facilitate a discussion.  
LEGISLATIVE PROGRAMS

LEG-R-0002-24  
Resolution Adopting the County's 2024 Federal Legislative Program  
Chair Dawn DeSart opened the floor for discussion. The committee reviewed the four  
amendments provided. A consensus was made accepting Amendment #1 to be added to  
the "Protect the Environmental Health of our Communities" section of the 2024 DuPage  
County Federal Legislative Program.  
After consensus on the first amendment, the committee moved on to discussing the  
proposed amendments relating to the "Protect Our Residents from Gun Violence" section  
of the 2024 DuPage County Federal Legislative Program. Once Amendments #2 and #3  
were discussed, a consensus was found in merging the language from both and settling on  
a revised amendment.  
Chair DeSart moved to amend the DuPage County Federal Legislative Program with the  
agreed upon changes. Member Chaplin seconded. A roll call was taken with all Ayes.
